And so it begins.....

I have been very busy round here lately, making christmas gifts and decorations, baking, uni work and the general stuff that goes along with being a mum and wife :)

I will post more photos when I have more time but tonight I made two bubble wands, that I will put together with some painted glass jars of homemade bubble mixture as stocking fillers for my two boys. They were so easy to make and I really like them.

What have you been making or baking lately please do share.

Decisions and Stress.

Well I have been having many a sleepless night thinking about where I am heading and what I am doing as I am sure a lot of you do!
I have decided to continue along with my wonderful degree at uni but I am not wanting to teach mainstream primary education the passion I have inside of me I feel I would not be able to express in this way of teaching. I want to be able to be as arty as I can and be as creative as I would like so I will finish my degree and go from there.
Maybe Montessori, teaching children with long term illness or doing artwork shops at different schools would be wonderful so maybe i will need to do another course after my degree or something any suggestions I welcome with open arms.
Here's to knew and exciting things ahead, I hope.

Friendship.

You know when someone gets you! I mean really get's you inside out, good and bad, ugly and beautiful. They know you and are comfy with even your dirty little secrets you know the one's you don't wana share!
Tell me how often does this friendship come along to be lost and found again!
I have felt this way as of late and realise how much I treasure these feelings and have missed them, I welcome them back with open if not scared (alittle)  arms.

Mindful!

This last few days we have had the lurgy monster in our little home, needless to say patients has been in short supply with the wee ones and the bigger ones of the house, and boredom has been flowing, boy has it been flowing.
Trying to stay mindful and patient with a splitting head, nose full of cotton wool and a cough like the engine of a 500 year old tractor has been tough to say the least. However light is upon the horizon and the sun is shining through the windows this morning though there is a chill in the air. I am hoping that we do not have so many bugs this winter time as its always hard in our house with big boys kidneys to look after as well as the general concerns when children are ill.
Here's to health and happiness wherever you are :o)

Summer Past.

Well summer has left our shores and joined our friends around the globe, lucky devils. The cough and sniffles of the colder months have already reach my little house and trying to entertain two little boys has been some what challenging just lately.
But we are going off craft shopping today to build up our some supply and drag out and dust off some more Halloween decorations, in hope of putting smiles on some poorly faces.

This is alittle taste of some happier warmer times at a steam fayre, what a fab day it was ;o) What is happening your end of the world?
