One of those weeks

Hello and happy build up to Christmas to you. I hope it is full of Christmas activities and that your houses are decked with lots of lights, tinsel and baubles, mine is. Today both my boys are home as the eldest was too shattered for school, he sometimes has trouble winding down at night and with all the other things his got going on this just exhausts him. So today we have been in my room with Christmas tune blasting, colouring in this rather fab Christmas tree that a kind friend printed off for me,its huge.
http://www.mrprintables.com/images/celebrate/giant-christmas-tree-coloring.jpg

We also made a star ladder after seeing this idea on one of my fav blogs, ours is slightly different and i shall put a photo in another post. http://chocoeyes.blogspot.co.uk/2012_11_01_archive.html
But i like the idea of the boys moving the angel up the stars as it gets closers to Christmas and they love the multi coloured stars.
Also this week we booked something to take the kids to see at a lovely local theatre called Penguin, i think i am as excited as they are about this.

But would you believe that i still haven't had one mince pie or a glass of mulled wine, i know what a sin. Happy Weekend to you where ever you are whatever you are doing.

And so it begins.....

I have been very busy round here lately, making christmas gifts and decorations, baking, uni work and the general stuff that goes along with being a mum and wife :)

I will post more photos when I have more time but tonight I made two bubble wands, that I will put together with some painted glass jars of homemade bubble mixture as stocking fillers for my two boys. They were so easy to make and I really like them.

What have you been making or baking lately please do share.

Decisions and Stress.

Well I have been having many a sleepless night thinking about where I am heading and what I am doing as I am sure a lot of you do!
I have decided to continue along with my wonderful degree at uni but I am not wanting to teach mainstream primary education the passion I have inside of me I feel I would not be able to express in this way of teaching. I want to be able to be as arty as I can and be as creative as I would like so I will finish my degree and go from there.
Maybe Montessori, teaching children with long term illness or doing artwork shops at different schools would be wonderful so maybe i will need to do another course after my degree or something any suggestions I welcome with open arms.
Here's to knew and exciting things ahead, I hope.

Friendship.

You know when someone gets you! I mean really get's you inside out, good and bad, ugly and beautiful. They know you and are comfy with even your dirty little secrets you know the one's you don't wana share!
Tell me how often does this friendship come along to be lost and found again!
I have felt this way as of late and realise how much I treasure these feelings and have missed them, I welcome them back with open if not scared (alittle)  arms.

Mindful!

This last few days we have had the lurgy monster in our little home, needless to say patients has been in short supply with the wee ones and the bigger ones of the house, and boredom has been flowing, boy has it been flowing.
Trying to stay mindful and patient with a splitting head, nose full of cotton wool and a cough like the engine of a 500 year old tractor has been tough to say the least. However light is upon the horizon and the sun is shining through the windows this morning though there is a chill in the air. I am hoping that we do not have so many bugs this winter time as its always hard in our house with big boys kidneys to look after as well as the general concerns when children are ill.
Here's to health and happiness wherever you are :o)

Summer Past.

Well summer has left our shores and joined our friends around the globe, lucky devils. The cough and sniffles of the colder months have already reach my little house and trying to entertain two little boys has been some what challenging just lately.
But we are going off craft shopping today to build up our some supply and drag out and dust off some more Halloween decorations, in hope of putting smiles on some poorly faces.

This is alittle taste of some happier warmer times at a steam fayre, what a fab day it was ;o) What is happening your end of the world?

Alittle artist under the roof.

Before I settle down for some uni work, I wanted to share this with you guys today.

After taking the boys out for a teddy bears picnic this morning I thought a nice relaxing activity indoors would be fun. So out came paper, pencils, crayons etc and one of my art books which I open out to a lovely painting by Van Gogh called " The Church at Auvers".

I asked the boys if they would like to draw there own picture along the same idea as what they saw or really whatever they liked. Donny doodle for alittle bit then was building towers and sorting out the crayons whilst Bodie really got stuck in humming away to himself, just wanted to share what he did with you I think its awesome.

Being mum....

Do mums not get tired, fed up, tearful or exhausted!!!!" Sometimes I feel like i should be some sort of robot that should be able to do everything. To keep a spotless house ( well in that case I have failed from the off).
I go to bed absolutely shattered every night and this is not early either and I haven't got done even 50% of what needs to be done let alone what i'd like to do :-/
Am I always going to feel like this?????

Just saying....

I was just saying on facebook I love all the blogs I follow all for different reason, for being funny interesting creative etc...
But no one seems to feel the need for a bath tub full of wine sometimes!

I love my boys more than anything don't get me wrong but I  must confess sometimes they drive me bonkers and I might as well be talking to a snail in the garden for the reaction I get when telling them off!
Is it me! I ask myself, am I too soft or cave in too easily.
Yes I guess it can only be me really but geez sometimes I feel like  wrapping myself in brown paper putting a few hundred stamps on and posting me to Mount Everest.

It has been awful!

This cough cold the boys have had and now politely given to mum and dad has been the pits.
I feel like death warmed up after having a massive nightout chewing glass and razor blades and down petrol.
However my two munchkins have cope with it I don't know they are stronger than I.

It is good to see them just slightly better today and hopefully enjoy alittle bit of what's left of the easter holidays.

I think the silverback has it sussed beats his chest and tells everyone to fuck off.

Yes surprisingly I have had a good day with the big man little man and littliest man. Little man had hospital today with big blood test so no school. However did go to Howletts afterwards for a slowwww walk round just to catch our breathe enjoy each others company and take Bodie's mind off stuff.

But I must say seeing what my boys, well two of them go through each day with one thing or another i do feel like the silverback. Why do these two gentle souls have to deal with so much! I mean if it was me, I could sorta understand miss mischief and all that but not the big man and the little man, I wish someone could explain it to me.....

So sometimes if I am honest and deep down feel like telling some people where to go its just because I choose to share my time with them and if they can't be bothered to do the same I shall share it elsewhere.....amen the end I have finished my rant xxxx
