Week Two of home schooling, i think? Meant to be de schooling but boys have wanted to do stuff....

Hey All,

Well I think it's week two! Yes of our home schooling journey. We have had a few days indoors in a row as it has been cold with even a little snow and my eldest really does feel the cold, bless him so we try and keep him well and warm. We did however go out for a little bike ride/walk but not for too long as too chilly.

We have been playing a lot of board games, Game of Life! and Monopoly are favourite's at the moment, we have been learning maths and reading with readingeggs http://readingeggs.co.uk/ and mathseeds http://mathseeds.co.uk/ my eldest has been reading and doing his maths on  https://www.khanacademy.org/math . So pretty busy considering they well my eldest is meant to be de schooling, we have also been looking at Harry Potter as both my boys really love the movies and books, we are at the start of making our own spells and spell books, we did a few experiments yesterday with food colouring, baking soda and vinegar that went down treat coloured foam every where.
My boys always have done lots of art and crafts as its part and parcel of having a mum artist like me, they took part in one of my Life book 2015 classes http://www.willowing.org/life-book-2015/ on a Feather Affirmation and they did a wonderful job and enjoyed listen and watching Tamara very much, how could you not she is just awesome, check her page out you won't regret it at all.

June....

Well hello June, hasn't the weather been just beautiful today it has lifted my spirits which I so badly needed at this present time, unfortunately my two beloved boys have rotten colds but thankfully did get out in the garden today to enjoy this wonderful weather, alas still awake now as congested and hot wee man is lying in my lap as I type this post and little man chatting to his dad in his bedroom, lets hope they will have a good nights sleep soon.

I took part in the fantastic stationary swap arranged by the gorgeous Lisa at sprouting creative wings my partner was the lovely Amanda from eight by six please see below for the wonderful parcels of loveliness I received from Amanda and check out their blogs you won't be disappointed.

I have also been working on another sketch book this one is part of my uni assignment but I always have sketch books on the go so don't see this as work try and get bits done here and there which can be tricky with a on the go 3 and 8 year old, the youngest who is stuck to me 24/7 :o)
He did help me make a Hamsa hand wall hanging  in the week whilst playing with his sand table hope to make some more detailed ones to put in my etsy shop.

My wonderful awesome so much loved dad has had a few tests and has been told Tumour is a nasty and unusual one so this has been hard to get my head round, now we are just waiting for him to have the operation and go from there....

Hope whatever you doing and wherever you are life is good and full of happiness, health, love and laughter. Emma xxxx

What a parcel for me! Oh how lovely :D
Oh and look what lovely's were inside xxxx

Some pages from one of my sketch books, this one for Uni.

And finally the Hamsa hand the wee man helped me with.

Peace, Love, Laughter, Happiness and Health, Me xxxx

The Weekend (where has it gone!)

Well can anyone tell me where the weekend has gone! I seemed to have misplaced it! I'm sure it was here just a moment ago!!!
This is definitely how I feel right about now, that and totally exhausted craving a glass of wine and a cold shower, yes surprisingly seeing as it is totally freezing here, wow it just disappeared in a blink of an eye.
I guess I have been busy, finishing the below collage which I really enjoyed the process of making, started on a brooch for a exchange I am taking part in more about that in another post.  I also had a Beaver conference on Saturday as I am a Assistant Beaver leader to a local group, uni work and today the boys had a couple of friends joint party to go to and that's it the weekend gone.

My lovely hubbie bought the below earrings for me today as a wee treat from one of my fav shops on etsy, looking forward to their arrival
How's your weekend been? Good I hope.
Emma ;o)
